[CRX] Awesome gaming cosplay and thoughts on Crunchyroll Expo 2018

Everybody is here!

Crunchyroll Expo took place last weekend in the San Jose Convention Center, and it was an absolute success.  Just about everything was bigger and better this year than it was last year, and that of course includes the cosplay.

If you read our Q&A with Yuji Horii, you already know the primary reason why I went was to meet and interview him, but the gaming cosplay at these anime conventions is always something to write home about, especially as someone in games media–gaming cosplay is just better at anime conventions than they are at more mainstream ones like San Diego Comic-Con.

Since this year’s Crunchyroll Expo took place at the San Jose Convention Center (about five miles south of its original location in Santa Clara), there was more room for everything, despite the fact that the convention saw over 45,000 attendees over the weekend.  It’s nowhere near as big as FanimeCon which takes place a few months before in the same venue, but it was nice to be able to walk through more spacious walkways with less body odor.

All that aside, here’s some of the best cosplay we saw at CRX.

We’ll start off with some of the more “random” stuff we saw.  And by random, we mean we just walked by these people.  There was no sense of organization when it came to the sorting.
