SmashPad Streamkend with Grand Theft Auto V – September 21 at 2 PM EST

This week’s featured game is Grand Theft Auto V.

Five years after the release of Grand Theft Auto IV was one of the first big next-gen games of this generation, Grand Theft Auto V gets to help send it off two months before we see the PS4 and Xbox One take over as the big dogs on the block. Though you may remember it as the starting city of GTA San Andreas, GTA V’s version of Los Santos is a much more realistic recreation of Los Angeles in the same vein as GTA IV’s Liberty City was a more accurate version of New York City. Rather than just one protagonist, GTA V features three to give you multiple perspectives on the events that are happening along with some interesting gameplay differences with the special abilities that each character has. Unlike most GTA games, this adventure seems to be mostly about setting out to pull off some big heists rather than some big mafia tale or other gang-related story.

Due to the lateness of this post, I’ll be brief on the upcoming schedule. Next week with feature The Wonderful 101 for the Wii U, which will be an interesting game to check out and show off as this month’s big Nintendo title.
