SmashPad Streamkend with New Super Luigi U – June 22 at 2 PM EST

This weekend's featured game is New Super Luigi U.

New Super Luigi U is Nintendo's first major DLC release on the Wii U that adds a completely new campaign to New Super Mario Bros. U starring Luigi. The main control differences that Luigi brings to the table is his high, floaty jump and he cannot stop on a dime like Mario, so he slides for a bit went you try to stop. The new campaign includes remixed versions of every level from the original set of levels that are tuned to better fit Luigi's quirks along with offering plenty of Luigi flavor to their design. The other big change between the two campaigns is that Luigi's level start with 99 seconds to require you to hurry up and not hang around trying to collect every coin and find the secrets on your first run. The expansion is available right now as DLC on the Wii U's eShop for $19.99 and those of you that can wait can get a physical standalone version on disc for $29.99 on August 25.

Looking ahead to the lineup for SmashPad Streamkend through the end of July, the June 29 show will definitely featured Game & Wario for the Wii U to make it back-to-back shows for Nintendo's console. The only week of July that I can guarantee a featured game right now is NCAA Football 14 on the July 15 show, which means that the rest of the month is completely barren from what I can see on the release schedule.
