SmashPad Streamkend with Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time – November 2 at 2 PM EST

This week’s featured game is Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time for the PS3.

As the PS4 and Xbox One launch nears, we’re taking some time out to celebrate the classics of this generation before next-gen kicks off. Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time is the third part of the Future trilogy that concluded a few years ago, but that tale will be continued with the release of Ratchet & Clank: Into The Nexus on the PS3 on November 12 at retail and on PSN. A Crack in Time continues where Tools of Destruction left off as Clank was taken away from his long-time partner by the Zoni to a facility called the Great Clock in the middle of the universe, which sets up Clank for his own adventure with some puzzle platformer levels to play every once in a while between Ratchet’s levels. As you might expect, Ratchet is frantically searching for his lost buddy throughout the galaxy with the “help” of Qwark as they also follow the trail of a potential sign of another Lombax that may know what happened to their people. One of the biggest new pieces of gameplay is that Ratchet can now fly around in space between levels to fight enemies, explore side planets, and collect more stuff.

Until the PS4 launch on November 15, the schedule for next week will once again feature another classic from this generation as we wait for the next-generation to give us some good new stuff to feature on the show.
