Furthermore, Anime Expo, the largest celebration of Japanese pop culture in North America, brings together fans and industry from Japan, the US, and beyond. The event features the best in Japanese entertainment, music, fashion, and video games. This year’s event takes place July 4-7, 2024, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Additionally, cosplay, or “costume play,” is a fun way for convention-goers to express themselves, be creative, and make new friends. It’s optional for all attendees, and with over 100,000 attendees at Anime Expo 2022, there was plenty of cosplay to see. Moreover, several fan-organized meet-ups also take place throughout the event.
