Aside from the games you may or may not have received as gifts over the holiday, odds are you’re spending the first weekend of the new year wondering what games to look forward to.
We surveyed our staff to name all the games coming out this year that they’re looking forward to, with the only rules being that the game has to be released this year (barring any delays), and it can’t be additional content added to an already released title.
In fact, we actually had to take Scalebound off our list due to the announcement that it would be delayed to 2017 a few days ago.
Anyway, out of our 10 participants, 42 games were mentioned. Of these 42, we’ll be featuring 22 as these were the games that featured more than one mention.
So what about the other 20 games? Here. We’ll give them honorable mentions in alphabetical order.
- Batman: A Telltale Games Series (Multi)
- Dark Souls III (Multi)
- Deux Ex: Mankind Divided (Multi)
- Drift Stage (PC)
- Far Cry: Primal (Multi)
- Firewatch (PS4)

There’s a ton of awesome looking games in that list of 20, and we can’t feature them all, but you can bet there’ll definitely be coverage on those games as they come out.
Without further ado, here are our most anticipated games of 2016.
