- Not among the five is a newcomer outreach measure: Sample Decks
- FREE 30-card decks built around a single planeswalker and a single rare
- Deliberately built so that non-beginners won’t snap them all up
- M:TG needs middle ground formats between Standard and Modern. Patrick has ideas.
- The problem
- “Standard”: past 15-18 mos (no long-term value)
- “Modern”: from 2003 on (such long-term value it’s cost prohibitive)
- The solutions – protecting investments without overextending formats
- “Planar Basic”: combinations of blocks that share a setting/”plane”
- “Planar Standard”: Standard, including past blocks set on same planes
- This would add eight full past sets to the current Standard.
- WotC adoption of Planar formats could improve quality of reprints.
- The problem
- There is a Tetris movie coming.
- Did somebody order a tokusatsu version of The Expendables? We’re getting one.
- Fox uses Double Dribble Youtube clip without permission in Family Guy episode, claims ownership, and has original video DMCA’d
- The shitshow that was the Nevada Democratic Convention.
