by Danreb VictorioOne of the best parts about anime conventions such as FanimeCon 2024 are all the organized cosplay gatherings for all the fandoms there are, and gaming definitely has its place.
While The Legend of Zelda has only loosely been compared to anime, and moreso now thanks to obvious connections to Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom to some of Studio Ghibli’s best, the beauty of conventions like Fanime is that not everything has to be about anime. Zelda is one of the tentpole franchises in the medium, so it’s only natural you’ll see more than your share of cosplay as a nod to the series at various gatherings around the world.
