SmashPad Streamkend with Thomas Was Alone and Poker Night 2 – April 27 at 2 PM EST

This week's SmashPad Streamkend features Thomas Was Alone for PS3 and Vita and Poker Night 2 for Xbox 360.

Thomas Was Alone is an indie platformer that features a simple art style that is just a front for a strong story about friendship that is laid out as you hop around each level and meet new people. Due to it not being a very long game, Thomas Was Alone will likely be the first 30 minutes or so of the stream before we move onto the second game. Poker Night 2 is the follow up to Telltale Games' Poker Night at The Inventory, which featured a similar cast of video game characters playing poker and sharing stories. The sequel features Brock Sampson from The Venture Bros., Claptrap from the Borderlands games, Ash Williams from Army of Darkness, Sam from the Sam & Max series, and Glados as the dealer. You take the fifth seat and do you best to win tournaments to earn chips, which can be spent on themed chips, decks, and table felt to your tastes while racking up lots of cash for the leaderboards.

If you were expecting a Monaco appearance on this week's show, you can thank the delay of the XBLA version for that, so I'll keep an eye on that situation to see when it'll be featured on the show. What I am confident about being on next weekend's show is Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon for Xbox 360 and PS3 and Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov's Revenge for PS3 and Vita. After that, the rest of May is up in the air at this point when not much is known about the releases for the rest of the month.
