by Danreb VictorioIt’s been a little over a month since the hype that was Final Fantasy XIV FanFest, and while we definitely felt the FOMO not getting invited, I was living my best life thanks to FFXIV’s out-of-nowhere collaboration with Jollibee. Leading up to FanFest, I had the honor of interviewing Jollibee USA’s Senior VP and Head of Marketing, Luis Velasco, which you can read here and it’s easily become one of proudest pieces.
The surprises didn’t end there. A few days after that, a box from Jollibee arrived at my front door, so I couldn’t help but do a ghetto unboxing video of it.
Turns out this was the same mailer some other influencers got, and it was definitely a nice gesture.
I do have to admit I’m a little dismayed because I bought pretty much the whole set from Complex before getting this box, and not only is it a pretty penny, but they’re non-refundable. I also noticed some influencers got a drinking glass that I didn’t get, but hey, I’m not here to complain. The apparel looks and feels great, and if anything, I have some extras that I can give away as gifts.
Thank you, Jollibee. Thank you, Square Enix! I hope the next collaboration is just as awesome.
The Jollibee x Final Fantasy XIV Online collaboration is still ongoing and set to conclude on May 31, 2026. At participating Jollibee restaurants, while supplies last, you can get FFXIV-themed meals featuring a blue raspberry aether drink for a limited time.
