[GDC 2026] First Look: “My Arms Are Longer Now” is set to be the best kind of bother

One of the most welcome bits of news I got as I was taking appointments during GDC was the fact that Jackbox Games, known for their popular Jackbox Party Pack games (which is now up to 11), has gone into publishing. Their first title, My Arms Are Longer Now by Toot Games, looks to be just the right fit.

The game is going to be absolute silliness. With an art style that immediately made me think of Coal Supper’s Thank Goodness You’re Here, I already know I’m going to have my share of laughs with this one when I finally get my hands on it. So just to get ahead of it, no, I didn’t actually play the game. I was just invited to an appointment to meet a few members of the team and watch the demo being played before leaving with swag. Admittedly, I found that a little disappointing because I did recall this game drawing a crowd at Day of the Devs 2025. That said, I can’t speak to how playing the game feels, but I’m hoping what I’m writing piques some interest.

In My Arms Are Longer Now, you play as an arm that can stretch as far as you can ponder and if you stretch too far, you can hold on the left shoulder button to retract it. With this arm, most of what you’ll be doing is stealing things. The first level the dev played through was in a moving train, and the arm was tasked with stealing a bike, a dog, and a briefcase. The bike was the easiest thing so to steal. Just as you began to pick at it and move it away, the guy you’re stealing it from just powerlessly looks at you.

That’s a really long arm.

“Hey… that’s my bike…”

*pulls some more*

“… My bike…”

*pulls some more*

“That’s my bike.”

*officially takes it away*

“My bike is gone.”

I usually don’t find that brand of humor all that funny, but I found it hysterical as I saw it happen.

The dog was easy to steal too. You just drag the cage away.

And then for the briefcase, that one was harder. A woman is attached to the briefcase using handcuffs. So you have to find a way to not make her notice the arm while unlocking the handcuffs before taking the briefcase away. Like Untitled Goose Game, the people whose lives you’re messing up are going to do things to mess you up, but since there’s no fail safe, half the battle is figuring out how you can remain annoying with the rules that each level has in place.

Long arms are for stealing briefcases.

You can troll as much as you want too. You ever tap someone on the back and pretend it wasn’t you? That’s a thing here. If you wanna slap every human in the game? By all means.

As for the levels, there was another one where you have to just absolutely ruin a child’s birthday party and there you can steal candy from a buff baby (which isn’t easy because he’s … buff), trip an adult with your ridiculously long arm, and mess up the wheel of another character’s bike–I immediately asked about this, and yes, there’s an entire family who each have bikes and you can absolutely eff stuff up for them. I can already see the Achivements and Trophies.

There is an overarching narrative to all this. The game’s story is told through the perspective of a detective trying to solve a bunch of stupid cases, using a evidence corkboard to what looks like uncover all the crimes in each of these levels and scenarios.

That’s a buffass baby.

My Arms Are Longer Now looks absolutely ridiculous and we can’t wait to play more of it before it comes out on Steam and the Epic Games Store this fall. Console versions of the game are expected next year.
