SmashPad Streamkend with Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon – May 4 at 2 PM EST

This week's featured title is Ubisoft's Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon is a spin-off of the popular 2012 open world FPS that takes a cheesy, over-the-top 80's sci-fi action movie approach to that style of game in a way that has gotten it a lot of attention leading up to its launch this week on PSN and XBLA. As a sign of how far they're going with that approach, Terminator star Michael Biehn was tapped to voice the main character that you control to provide the right amount of cheesy dialog.

The continuing lack of news on games releasing this month means that I have to get a bit more creative about what will be featured on future streams throughout the month. Next week will definitely be Zombie Tycoon II: Brainhov's Revenge, which came out on PSN this week but will get its own show since nothing is out next week. The week after that may very well feature a classic that will be released two weeks from now, which is Wii U Virtual Console release Super Metroid. Finishing up the month will likely be a wildcard show where I will probably play a classic game of this generation to continue our previous series of streams celebrating the best games of the generation as the next-generation looms over us.
