[SGF 2026] FIRST LOOK – Forza with a real story? That’s “Clutch”

author image by Danreb Victorio | PC Previews Summer Game Fest | 0 Comments | 11 Jun 2026

Part of what really grabbed me about Horizon 6, aside from it being in Japan, was that there was a story. Sure, it was basic, but it was enough to hook me. So when I started receiving invites to a hands-off preview of Maverick Games’ debut title, I was a little reserved but interested. First of all, I hate hands-off previews. But also, it was for a “narrative-driven driving game from former members of the Forza team.”

[SGF 2026] HANDS-ON – “Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis” is a gorgeous game that still needs time before its debut

author image by Danreb Victorio | PC PlayStation 5 Previews Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 11 Jun 2026

For the most part, I’m rather pleased to confirm that Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis plays pretty similarly to those last few games, but if there’s anything this demo has to go by, it’s definitely more on the puzzling side.

[SGF 2026] HANDS-ON – “N Plus Infinity Times Two” is as wacky as its title

author image by Danreb Victorio | Nintendo Switch 2 PC PlayStation 5 Previews Summer Game Fest Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 10 Jun 2026

As soon as I was pitched to preview an “unannounced game from the creators of N+,” I was in. I didn’t have to watch a trailer, even though I ended up seeing it at Day of the Devs. The Newgrounds OG was definitely peak when it came to flash precision platforming, and now seeing it go multiplayer is absolutely nuts, and I’m glad I made time for it at the show floor.

Resident Evil: Veronica one of the biggest announcements at SGF the day prior. An interview with the producer during SGF before being shown Onimusha was definitely something I didn’t expect.

[SGF 2026] HANDS-ON – “Super Yooka-Laylee Kart” is a little too different for its own good right now

author image by Danreb Victorio | PC Previews Summer Game Fest | 0 Comments | 09 Jun 2026

Super Yooka-Laylee Kart was easily one of the standouts from this year’s Day of the Devs presentation after Summer Game Fest, but after we spent some time with it, it’s hard to gauge whether this game will appeal to anybody but Yooka-Laylee’s biggest fans.

HANDS-ON – “Moss: The Forgotten Relic” could use a little more guidance

author image by Danreb Victorio | Nintendo Switch Nintendo Switch 2 PC PlayStation 5 Previews Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 08 Jun 2026

The Moss games are among the most celebrated titles in VR gaming. Knowing that, these were games I definitely bought for my PSVR. That being said, I was “that guy.” Despite shelling out for a PSVR, I only really played…

[SGF 2026] HANDS-ON – “lily’s world XD” thrives in cringe and discomfort

author image by Danreb Victorio | PC Previews Summer Game Fest | 0 Comments | 06 Jun 2026

You pretty much get an idea of it all through the trailer, but if you haven’t heard of lily’s world XD, it’s basically a psychological thriller about a girl named Lily, who went missing in the early 2000s. After finding her laptop, you snoop around and see if you can discover clues to figure out what happened to her.

REVIEW – “Final Fantasy VII Rebirth” is a handheld marvel that still has no respect for your time

author image by Danreb Victorio | Nintendo Switch 2 PC PlayStation 5 Reviews Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 02 Jun 2026

It’s absolutely wild that we live in a universe where a more than competent remake of Final Fantasy VII exists, but what’s even wilder is that the universe of Final Fantasy VII was also completely remade in such a way that even those who enjoyed the originals can’t tell you what’ll happen next, and it’s all the better for it. Now that it’s also available on Switch 2 and Xbox Series X, more people get to experience it before its epic conclusion now in development.

It’s been a little over a month since the hype that was Final Fantasy XIV FanFest, and while we definitely felt the FOMO not getting invited, I was living my best life thanks to FFXIV’s out-of-nowhere collaboration with Jollibee. Leading…

HANDS-ON – “NBA The Run” could be the streetball game fans have been waiting for as long as it stops setting a screen on itself

author image by Danreb Victorio | PC PlayStation 5 Previews Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 19 May 2026

As sports games grow ever closer to fully adopting a freemium model, people continue to long for the good old days of arcade sports. I’m a huge NFL fan who got into it by playing countless games of NFL Blitz, then NFL Street a few years after that, and I’m sure there are hardcore NBA fans out there who got their start on NBA Jam and NBA Street. We need those games back, and NBA The Run seems like we’re almost there.

INTERVIEW – “Fishbowl” team talks about how their heartfelt shelter-in-place cozy title was inspired by Ghibli, “To The Moon” and more
