[Steam Next Fest] Hands-On: “Armatus” promises a darkened, kinetic shooter experience for the roguelite landscape

author image by David Rodriguez | Nintendo Switch 2 PC PlayStation 5 Previews Steam Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 20 Feb 2026

We’re not particularly starving for roguelites. Now a favorite of indie developers the world over for around a decade, it takes a lot for a new one to stand out among the crowd in gameplay, but also in art style. The ones I usually play tend to be on the brighter, sillier side with levity or at least a sense of humor to balance out the drama a la both Hades games. Armatus dares to be a little different with a dark, apocalyptic take for the setting while retaining a gameplay loop that makes genre fans ravenous.

REVIEW – Despite great tennis, “Mario Tennis Fever” is too fluffy to recommend fully

author image by Kayla Merritt | Nintendo Switch 2 Reviews | 0 Comments | 18 Feb 2026

Mario Tennis Fever, at its core, is a great game of tennis. Features this time around add a lot more to the core game than previous titles, and both the online and local multiplayer modes are pretty great. Unfortunately, the lack of quality content makes this hard to recommend to everyone.

FINAL PREVIEW – “Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection” could potentially break Persona 3-like ground as a spinoff

author image by Danreb Victorio | Nintendo Switch 2 PC PlayStation 5 Previews Steam Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 12 Feb 2026

After playing Monster Hunter Stories 3 for over 10 hours, the potential for this turn-based spinoff to reach greater heights is definitely there. Monsties, anyone?

REVIEW – “ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard” utilizes a broad palette of iridescent creativity to make a bold puzzle platformer

author image by David Rodriguez | Nintendo Switch 2 PlayStation 5 Reviews Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 12 Feb 2026

It’s hard not to recommend ChromaGun 2: Dye Hard. The puzzles are satisfying, I felt immense satisfaction working within (and out of) its boundaries, and now I feel like I could apply to be in Mensa. The places it goes, literally and figuratively, are things I haven’t seen done in a game like this before. I’d hate to spoil any of the key moments so I won’t, suffice to say they all work incredibly well, from the easter egg references to other games and media, to things from Pixel Maniacs’ own creative minds.

REVIEW – “4PGP” is a tribute to arcade racing through a very console lens

author image by Patrick Mifflin | Nintendo Switch Nintendo Switch 2 PC Reviews Steam | 0 Comments | 05 Feb 2026

The state of the arcade racing genre in 2026 is fascinating to say the least. Founding fathers Sega and Namco have been on a milk carton, apart from the surprising inclusion of Virtua Racing in the Sega Ages lineup over on Nintendo Switch, or the random Ridge Racer drop on Hamster’s Arcade Archives or the PlayStation Classics line. This has left the genre to a bunch of indie studios that have done a great job paying tribute to those old classics with games like Formula Retro Racing: World Tour, DDI Rally Championship, and most recently, Super Woden: Rally Edge. Tribute and succession are two different things, however, and as fun as a lot of these games can be, there’s a certain noticeable gap between them and the games that inspired them.

REVIEW – “Cozy Caravan” is a sweet deal at MSRP

author image by Theresa Samons | Articles iOS Mobile Nintendo Switch Nintendo Switch 2 PC Platforms Reviews Steam | 0 Comments | 03 Feb 2026

Cozy Caravan is only US$19.99, and I can’t stop thinking about that nearly every time I play. Driving the caravan along, looking at the scenery: “I can’t believe this is only $19.99.” Getting literally lost in the larger towns (and…

REVIEW – Despite divisive changes on a divisive classic, “Dragon Quest VII Reimagined” is a fascinating modern take

author image by Leigh Lamb | Nintendo Switch Nintendo Switch 2 PC PlayStation 5 Reviews Steam Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 02 Feb 2026

Dragon Quest VII Reimagined is a fascinating game to review because it takes modern sensibilities that players have come to expect and applies them to the most divisive entry in the series. I do think the game loses something in…

DLC REVIEW – “Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Visions of Four Heroes” doesn’t change much, but that’s great

author image by Michael Murphy | Nintendo Switch 2 PC PlayStation 5 Reviews Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 30 Jan 2026

While not too much content, Dynasty Warriors: Origins – Visions of Four Heroes is still just as good as the original, keeping the fun of the Musou gameplay and story.

“Skate Story” Review

author image by Danreb Victorio | Nintendo Switch 2 PC PlayStation 5 Reviews | 0 Comments | 08 Dec 2025

Despite it’s unique look and feel, Skate Story isn’t one of those indies that’s gonna change the world. The game is fine, but once you get through the game’s nine sections in the six hours or so to do it, there isn’t much to have you go back except to start the game over again.

“Octopath Traveler 0” Review

author image by Danreb Victorio | Nintendo Switch Nintendo Switch 2 PC PlayStation 4 PlayStation 5 Reviews Xbox Series X | 0 Comments | 03 Dec 2025

Octopath Traveler 0 has a lot to it. The “main” parts of the story, primarily the antagonists discussed here, are some of the best in the series and will keep people invested along with the Animal Crossing-like charm you get from restoring Wishvale, but once you get past it, it’s all really just… there, and getting to its real, yet satisfying ending will take some effort. The end result is a huge game that definitely boasts more value than it’s $50 asking price.
